Tiffany Theatre College prides itself on providing the highest degree of pastoral care.
"The wellbeing of our students comes first and foremost. For many it's their first time away from home and we take every measure to safeguard young people through this process."
Now in my second year, I can see the improvements that the last year and a half have made to me. TTC's friendly approach to training has allowed me to grow on both a personal and professional level. The staff and students of TTC have become a second family to me, particularly as I moved away from home at such a young age.
Tiffany Theatre College is full of kind, supportive and friendly students. The teachers are especially welcoming and are truly committed to being there for you to help you achieve your goal and ambitions.
TTC aims to help students find comfortable and safe accommodation within easy access of the college. Over the years TTC has built up a comprehensive list of suitable host families. Once a student has accepted their place at TTC the list is sent along with the other details for commencement at the college.
TTC’s family orientated atmosphere ensures a kind, caring, approach and staff have an open door policy so that students feel able to discuss any problems they may be having at the college, or in their personal lives, whether emotional or physical.
As a small college TTC is able to maintain a strong relationship with each individual student. As part of this, every student has a mentor group - one member of staff to 10 students. Students are safe in the knowledge that everything is confidential and TTC is registered under the Data Protection Act. The student handbook given out during the first week at TTC gives further guidance on all areas of college life.
Health and Fitness
Students are expected to work at their maximum capability at all times and by building a knowledge of the body, they are able to recognise injuries.
TTC encourages positive attitudes towards weight control, healthy eating and body image and students and staff feel able to discuss and raise concerns where necessary. Students are monitored closely and staff are trained in recognising and understanding eating disorders.
The college is committed to training healthy dancers and advises all students to register with a local doctor on commencing the course.
